Have you tried Goody Ouchless Ribbon Elastics yet?

I opened my Sunkissed Vox Box from Influenster recently, and loved the products. I wish I had been able to use all of them, but that was not to be. The one I could not use was the product this blog post is based on,

Goody Ouchless Ribbon Elastics. This is due to my short hair not being able to be lassoed into a ponytail. But have no fear, a review is here. How you ask? Well I mentioned my dilemma to my mother, who has hair that is a bit longer in length than mine. She was very willing to try the product and review it for me :)

Now isn't that a good modelling debut? Well here is what Mom had to say:
She mentioned their tight hold. I know I used to hate when hair ties slipped out of my hair, so this is a positive.
She is a scrunchie lover, and said these gave her the same comfort and hold power as her esteemed scrunchies. Since scrunchies should have been retired a while ago, I would say this is a positive point.
Stylish. Now who doesn't like the cute color she has in.
Easily manueverable. Who wants to fight with a hair tie?

So here you have it. Goody Ribbon Elastics may be here to stay in our household. Who knew?

Disclaimer: I received these products for review from Influenster in the Sunkissed Vox Box. However, all opinions are an accurate representation of the product. :)

How Olay Fresh Effects BB Cream fits into my 24/7 lifestyle

How does this BB cream fit into my lifestyle? Let me count the ways:
  • It is light weight so I don't feel weighed down, especially in the intense summer heat we have been experiencing in New Hampshire.
  • It is not a thick, opaque, coverup. By this I mean that me, little old me, naturally shines through this makeup while the makeup similantaneously brightens my complexion.
  • It has a fresh scent, which makes me want to use it over a makeup that has an offputting smell.
  • It is affordable. With me working 2-3 jobs to barely pay my bills, the affordability of this product makes it something I could purchase on my own after the sample is gone.
I hope some or all of these suggestions help make your experience with Olay Fresh Effects BB Cream a great one.

Disclaimer: This product was sent to me free of charge to use and review honestly from Influenster in the Sunkissed VoxBox.

Holiday Nails to spread cheer

As I have said before I am a nail newbie. However, this failure (the polish came off in sheets and just done earlier today):
And also my boredom led to this masterpiece:
And here is a close up of my thumb:

Any questions I would be happy to answer in the comments :)

Fourth of July Look-For Now

Started With Wet n' Wild Red Red, then used Funky Fingers Baby Baby Baby, and also NYC Skin Tight Denim Creme. Not as big of fan of this look as I wouldve liked.

First, I applied. 1 coat of Wet n' Wild Red Red. This is the look with one coat of Funky fingers baby baby baby over it.
I then went for a checkered look with the skin tight denim creme.

Topped with Seche Vite.

Enjoy!

Ended up looking a little more Halloween-y than i would've thought

May pull this out of my bag of tricks in October. used two coats of NYC Times Square Tangerine Creme.

I actually really loved this color on its own and wish I had left it.
Then I applied one coat Funky Fingers Gold Coast.

One coat of Seche Vite to complete the look.

A few days behind- Simple red with a some accent nail art

So, I used two coats Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Red Carpet as a base. It was a solid with small glitter in it, very pretty. Was opaque after one coat, but used another to hide nail line.

I then used Fing'rs Flirt (1$ packs at five Below) for my accent finger.

All topped with Seche Vite Top coat.

Hope you enjoy!

Funky Fingers- Crackle Edition

So the other day, I made my virgin trip to a Five Below, both polishes part of my finds.

First, Two coats of Wet N' Wild Blue Moon. It looks almost black in the bottle, but it is a lovely color once out.
Then, I tried out Funky Fingers new White Crackle. I am not a fan of white crackles as I have seen so far. This is the first one I used and owned. I was thoroughly impressed by the crackling and the quick drying ability.
However, the brush was a little wonky, not sure if it was just the bottle I got, or the design, the brush was curled. UPDATE: I checked my bottle of Funky Fingers gray crackle I also bought and the brush is normal, so the wonkiness is limited to this bottle.
Any comments and constructive criticism appreciated.

So a nice mani at a great price.

For this, I used three different colors, all Wet n' Wild. Warning: I need to get a better camera, I use my phone (5mp) right now because I am unsure of my current cameras placement. This mani was so much better IRL, of course until I smudged it.
First, 1 coat Wet n' Wild Black Creme.

Next I did one coat of Wet n' Wild Hannah Pinktana. Was going to do this as a french style nail with a black tip, but this polish was much more sheer than I thought. Unfornately, I forgot to take a picture of this stage.
Next, I did one coat of Party of Five Glitters. This gave it a party/universe vibe.
Another view:
A close up:

Finally, I did a top coat with Seche Vite to make it smooth. Unfortunately, I had to get ready for work too close to me finishing my mani and one hand got horribly creased when I got ready. It really is a beautiful mani, too bad I have to get rid of it because of the horrible creases.
Let me know what you think. Any reviews and constructive criticism is welcome. Also, I have not had a chance to post a picture of my haul of polishes and other stuff I have acquired to I guess jumpstart my collection. Overall, I have gotten about 30 polishes(some minis), a spotting tool(only 1.49) and 4 packs of nail decals(1$/each). Cant wait to show you.

I got these today among others(Will post a picture of all the new polishes)

Funky Fingers White and Gray Crackle.. Only 3$ a piece so it cannot hurt to try.

Recent Nail Designs

So first, I used Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Hot Magenta for the nails, and NYC White for the flowers.
First, I applied 2 coats of the Hot Magenta.
To do the flowers, I dipped cosmetic qtips in white and applied the dots in a flower fashion.
